Welcome to the Student Iraqi Medical Association – Wales website. SIMA Wales was established in September 2008 with the aim of providing peer-assisted learning to the medical students at Cardiff University and in turn raising money for a charity that helps Iraqi children at our academic events. This website will be regularly updated and have all the information about the society and the latest on our events that we deliver for Cardiff University medical students.

Hello everyone,

This revision session will cover topics on upper limb, lower limb, and back, helping you get prepared for your exam in November.

We will also be giving hints and tips (stuff the med school don’t tell you) and a MOCK EXAM at the end of the session, which will be in the same format as the actual exam.

Session is on 9th Nov from 2 – 5pm at the Shared Lecture Theatre, Biosi. Please arrive 30mins before to get registered/sign up for membership.

Membership is only £4, so please join on the student union website:

http://groups.cardiffstudents.com/club_signup.aspx

…or at the session itself. The membership will allow you to come to all the revision sessions for the year and get handouts for free!
(Without the membership, each session will cost £4.50 and the handouts 50p, so it’s definitely well worth signing up!)

Click “attending” if you’re planning on coming so we can make sure you get a handout & invite your friends. We are also making CDs which will have the presentation, notes and mock exam on for £2 to help us raise money for our charity, Iraq Relief. All proceeds will go to helping to buy medical supplies for orphanages and hospitals in Iraq.

If you want a CD, or if you have any questions please leave a comment, or refer to our Facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=314949591853513 .

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you there! :)
